As a human rights charity, independent of government, we work to ensure that refugees are given the protection they need, that they are treated with respect and understanding, and that they have the same rights, opportunities and responsibilities as other members of our society. We aim to provide high quality advice, support and services to refugees and their families, where we are best placed to do so. Supported by over 500 volunteers, we provide services within London, the East of England, West Midlands and Yorkshire and Humberside. Sowing Seeds is an allotment project which improves the mental and physical well-being of destitute refugees living in Hounslow, many of whom are at the end of a lenghty asylum process, receive limited or no financial support and face significant barriers to eating healthily.
