Project Aim
To create an allotment for growing seasonal vegetables and fruit within the patio gardens of Bradbury Courtyard and within small turfed garden of William Wood House (a sheltered housing scheme for frail elderly) , adjacent to our premises. Produce will be used to provide 'affordable meals' in our community caf
Local Food is part of the Big Lottery Fund's Changing Spaces programme which was launched in November 2005 to help communities enjoy and improve their local environments.
The programme funds a range of activities from local food schemes and farmers markets, to education projects teaching people about the local environment.
