The project will fund three new and four existing part-time staff members who will work to: • support new and existing projects through one to one support, regional training and skill sharing events • create best practice case studies and online services such as a new directory with volunteer opportunities, courses and events, and an offers and requests system to allow sharing of materials, tools and skills • support local practitioners to engage new people in food growing through local talks, short courses, visits, volunteering and practical activities. The project will benefit people who want to learn about food growing, volunteer at active projects, develop their own food activities and skills within a supportive network, visit relevant demonstration projects, and attend courses and apprenticeships and make it much easier for people to access learning about the permaculture approach to local food, and engage with local food projects.
