Women's Environmental Network
Women's Environmental Network (WEN) is a registered charity and non-profit-making national membership organisation. The only organisation working consistently for women and the environment, WEN works to educate, inform and empower women and men who care about the environment. WEN has a national network of local groups and local contacts working on its campaigns (currently 50+). WEN offers training and support to groups of women in urban areas on food growing. WEN also coordinates a national network of 40 food growing groups. There are also 78 real nappy groups.

Big Lottery Fund
Local Food is part of the Big Lottery Fund’s Changing Spaces programme which was launched in November 2005 to help communities enjoy and improve their local environments. The programme funds a range of activities from local food schemes and farmers markets, to education projects teaching people about the local environment.
