Thrive
Thrive is the only national charity of its kind working to bring change to the lives of disabled people through gardening. We do this by:
- Offering practical advice and help to any disabled person who wants to begin or continue gardening
- Supporting health and education professionals who use gardening with disabled people through a variety of specialist courses
- Researching how and why gardening helps people with a disability
- Promoting the benefits of social and therapeutic horticulture to a wide audience
- Organising gardening programmes for disabled people at our projects in Reading and London
Thrive's disabled gardeners may have physical or learning disabilities, mental health issues, sensory disabilities, or may be recovering after a stroke or heart disease.
To ensure Thrive can help as many disabled people as possible, we are in contact with and offer support to 900 social and therapeutic horticulture garden projects across the UK.
