The Permaculture Association (Britain) is the national education and research charity that helps people to use permaculture in their everyday lives to improve their quality of life and the environment around them. The Association supports individuals, projects and groups through training, research and networking. It is part of an international network of projects, institutes and businesses now operating in over 125 countries. Their website provides an introduction to the permaculture approach, and details of local groups, designers and a wide range of introductory, full design and specialist permaculture courses.

Big Lottery Fund
Local Food is part of the Big Lottery Fund’s Changing Spaces programme which was launched in November 2005 to help communities enjoy and improve their local environments. The programme funds a range of activities from local food schemes and farmers markets, to education projects teaching people about the local environment.
