The Chicken Out! campaign is demanding higher welfare conditions for chickens farmed in the UK, and fairer conditions for the farmers who rear them.
Their supporters have changed their shopping habits, putting pressure on the supermarkets to stock higher welfare chicken.
But 92% of chicken bought in the UK is still intensively farmed.

The "Love Food, Hate Waste" campaign aims to raise awareness of the need to reduce the amount of food that we throw away, and how by doing some easy and practical things in the home we will benefit our purses and the environment.
Children's Food Campaign
www.sustainweb.orgThe Children’s Food Campaign wants to improve young people’s health and well-being through better food – and food teaching – in schools and by protecting children from junk food marketing.

Local Food is part of the Big Lottery Fund’s Changing Spaces programme which was launched in November 2005 to help communities enjoy and improve their local environments. The programme funds a range of activities from local food schemes and farmers markets, to education projects teaching people about the local environment.
